Eph 2: 1-3 And you were dead in the trespasses and sins2 in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience—3 among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.

Wisdom and revelation were two gifts that Paul prayed the Lord would give us, Ephesians 2:17. These gifts are essential for a life of Godliness. They don’t come from this world and you won’t find them within yourself. Their not about intelligence or higher education as we know it. Their gifts of “higher” education, their heaven born and heaven given to those who sincerely ask for them.

James 1:5 says “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.” Without wisdom and revelation we pray without praying, we sing without singing and we worship without worshiping. We’re spiritually deprived, like fish out of water. We’re dull our souls are starved.

We should ask ourselves are we living in and by divine wisdom and revelation? I wonder, I think a lot of us are in spiritual trouble. We’re being artificially kept alive by religious habits, doing what we think is right. Are we walking by human wisdom or divine revelation? Revelation tells us what to do or were to go, wisdom tells us how to get the full harvest from the revelation.
